22. É pelas misericórdias do SENHOR que não somos consumidos, porque as suas compaixões não falham.
23 Elas são novas a cada manhã, grande é a Tua fidelidade.
24 O SENHOR é a minha porção, diz a minha alma; portanto eu esperarei nEle.
25 O SENHOR é bom para aqueles que esperam nEle, para a alma que o busca.
26 Isto é bom, que um homem deva confiar e quietamente aguardar a salvação do SENHOR.
10. Quem é fiel no pouco, também é fiel no muito.
22. It is of the Lord's mercies that we are not consumed, because his compassions fail not.

14 Guarda aquilo que a ti foi confiado pelo Espírito Santo que habita em nós.

9 E Paulo teve uma visão durante a noite: um homem da Macedônia estava em pé e lhe suplicava, dizendo: venha à Macedônia e ajuda-nos.
10 Depois de ter tido a visão, imediatamente procuramos ir para a Macedônia, convictos de que o Senhor nos havia chamado para lhes pregar o evangelho.
13 E, no sábado, saímos da cidade para a margem do rio, onde costumavam fazer orações; e, nos sentando, conversamos com as mulheres que ali se reuniam.
14 E uma certa mulher chamada Lídia, vendedora de púrpura, da cidade de Tiatira, temente a Deus, nos ouvia; e o Senhor lhe abriu o coração, para que prestasse atenção às coisas que Paulo dizia.
15 Depois de ser batizada, ela e sua família nos rogou, dizendo: Se vocês me consideram fiel ao Senhor, entrem na minha casa e fiquem lá. E ela nos constrangeu.
9 And a vision appeared to Paul in the night; There stood a man of Macedonia, and prayed him, saying, Come over into Macedonia, and help us.
10 And after he had seen the vision, immediately we endeavoured to go into Macedonia, assuredly gathering that the Lord had called us for to preach the gospel unto them.
13 And on the sabbath we went out of the city by a river side, where prayer was wont to be made; and we sat down, and spake unto the women which resorted thither.
14 And a certain woman named Lydia, a seller of purple, of the city of Thyatira, which worshipped God, heard us: whose heart the Lord opened, that she attended unto the things which were spoken of Paul.
15 And when she was baptized, and her household, she besought us, saying, If ye have judged me to be faithful to the Lord, come into my house, and abide there. And she constrained us
1 Conjuro-te, pois, diante de Deus e do Senhor Jesus Cristo, que há de julgar os vivos e os mortos, na sua aparição e no seu reino;
2 que pregues a palavra, instes a tempo e fora de tempo, reprove, repreendas, exortes com toda paciência e doutrina.
3 Porque virá tempo em que não suportarão a sã doutrina; mas, conforme seus próprios desejos, amontoarão para si mestres, tendo comichão nos ouvidos;
4 E desviarão os seus ouvidos da verdade, voltando às fábulas.
5 Tu, porém, vigiai em todas as coisas;
7 Combati o bom combate, terminei o meu curso, mantive a fé.
8 Desde agora, a coroa de justiça me está guardada, a qual o Senhor, o justo juiz, me dará naquele dia; e não somente a mim, mas também a todos os que amam a sua aparição.

3 For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears;
4 And they shall turn away their ears from the truth, and shall be turned unto fables.
5 But watch thou in all things,
7 I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith:
8 Henceforth there is laid up for me a crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous judge, shall give me at that day: and not to me only, but unto all them also that love his appearing.

22 E, chegando também o que tinha recebido dois talentos, disse: Senhor, entregaste-me dois talentos; eis que eu ganhei outros dois talentos além desses.

25 Eu tive medo e fui esconder o teu talento na terra; eis que ali tens o que é teu.
26 O seu senhor respondeu e disse-lhe: Servo perverso e preguiçoso,
28 Tomai, portanto o talento dele, e dai-o ao que tem os dez talentos.
29 Porque a cada um que tiver será dado, e terá em abundância; mas ao que não tiver, será tomado até o que ele tem.

1 E depois destas coisas, eu ouvi uma grande voz de uma numerosa multidão no céu, dizendo: Aleluia! Salvação, e glória, e honra, e poder ao Senhor nosso Deus.!
2 Pois verdadeiros e justos são os seus juízos:
5 E uma voz saiu do trono, dizendo: Louvai o nosso Deus, todos vós, seus servos, e vós que o temeis, tanto pequenos como grandes.
11 E eu vi o céu aberto, e eis um cavalo branco; e o que estava assentado sobre ele era chamado de Fiel e Verdadeiro; e com justiça julga e guerreia.
16 E ele tem sobre a sua veste e sobre a sua coxa um nome escrito:

16 And he hath on his vesture and on his thigh a name written, KING OF KINGS, AND Lord OF Lords.
2 Graça e paz vos sejam multiplicadas, por meio do conhecimento de Deus, e de Jesus nosso Senhor.
3 Conforme o seu divino poder, deu-nos todas as coisas que dizem respeito à vida e à piedade, pelo conhecimento daquele que nos chamou para a glória e virtude.
4 Pelas quais nos são concedidas grandíssimas e preciosas promessas, para que através destas possais ser participantes da natureza divina,
2 Grace and peace be multiplied unto you through the knowledge of God, and of Jesus our Lord,
3 According as his divine power hath given unto us all things that pertain unto life and godliness, through the knowledge of him that hath called us to glory and virtue:
4 Whereby are given unto us exceeding great and precious promises: that by these ye might be partakers of the divine nature.
EOMQuando esperamos pacientemente em Deus e buscamos a Verdade com retidão, Ele guia o nosso caminho.
When we wait patiently on God and seek Truth righteously, He directs our path.
O melhor sermão já pregado é a Verdade praticada e demonstrada pela destruição do pecado, da doença e da morte. Sabendo disso, e sabendo também que um único amor seria supremo em nós e guiaria nossas vidas, Jesus disse: "Ninguém pode servir a dois senhores".
Não podemos construir com segurança sobre fundamentos falsos. A verdade cria uma nova criatura, na qual as coisas antigas desaparecem e "tudo se faz novo". Paixões, egoísmo, desejos ilusórios, ódio, medo, toda sensualidade, cedem lugar à espiritualidade, e a superabundância do ser está do lado de Deus, o bem.
The best sermon ever preached is Truth practised and demonstrated by the destruction of sin, sickness, and death. Knowing this and knowing too that one affection would be supreme in us and take the lead in our lives, Jesus said, "No man can serve two masters."
We cannot build safely on false foundations. Truth makes a new creature, in whom old things pass away and "all things are become new." Passions, selfishness, false appetites, hatred, fear, all sensuality, yield to spirituality, and the superabundance of being is on the side of God, good.
O princípio divino da cura é comprovado na experiência pessoal de qualquer buscador sincero da Verdade. Seu propósito é bom, e sua prática é mais segura e eficaz do que qualquer outro método sanitário. O pensamento cristão imparcial é o que mais rapidamente é tocado pela Verdade e convencido dela.
The divine Principle of healing is proved in the personal experience of any sincere seeker of Truth. Its purpose is good, and its practice is safer and more potent than that of any other sanitary method. The unbiased Christian thought is soonest touched by Truth, and convinced of it.
Quando passamos a ter mais fé na verdade do ser do que no erro, mais fé no Espírito do que na matéria, mais fé na vida do que na morte, mais fé em Deus do que no homem, então nenhuma suposição material pode nos impedir de curar os enfermos e destruir o erro.
When we come to have more faith in the truth of being than we have in error, more faith in Spirit than in matter, more faith in living than in dying, more faith in God than in man, then no material suppositions can prevent us from healing the sick and destroying error.
A verdade infinita da cura de Cristo chegou a esta era por meio de uma "voz mansa e delicada", por meio de palavras silenciosas e unção divina que intensificam e aumentam os efeitos benéficos do cristianismo. Anseio ver a consumação da minha esperança, ou seja, as conquistas mais elevadas do estudante nesta linha de luz.
Como a Verdade é infinita, o erro deve ser conhecido como nada. Como a Verdade é onipotente em bondade, o erro, seu oposto, não tem poder. O mal é apenas o contraponto do nada. O maior erro é apenas um suposto oposto do mais alto direito. A confiança inspirada pela Ciência reside no fato de que a Verdade é real e o erro é irreal. O erro é um covarde diante da Verdade. A Ciência Divina insiste que o tempo provará tudo isso. Tanto a verdade quanto o erro se aproximaram mais do que nunca da compreensão dos mortais, e a verdade se tornará ainda mais clara à medida que o erro se autodestruir.
The infinite Truth of the Christ-cure has come to this age through a "still, small voice," through silent utterances and divine anointing which quicken and increase the beneficial effects of Christianity. I long to see the consummation of my hope, namely, the student's higher attainments in this line of light.
Because Truth is infinite, error should be known as nothing. Because Truth is omnipotent in goodness, error, Truth's opposite, has no might. Evil is but the counterpoise of nothingness. The greatest wrong is but a supposititious opposite of the highest right. The confidence inspired by Science lies in the fact that Truth is real and error is unreal. Error is a coward before Truth. Divine Science insists that time will prove all this. Both truth and error have come nearer than ever before to the apprehension of mortals, and truth will become still clearer as error is self-destroyed.
É mais fácil desejar a Verdade do que livrar-se do erro. Os mortais podem buscar a compreensão da Ciência Cristã, mas não conseguirão extrair dela os fatos do ser sem se esforçarem para alcançá-los. Esse esforço consiste em empreender o abandono de todo tipo de erro e não possuir outra consciência senão a do bem.
Por meio das disciplinas salutares do Amor, somos auxiliados na marcha rumo à retidão, à paz e à pureza, que são os marcos da Ciência. Contemplando as infinitas tarefas da verdade, fazemos uma pausa — aguardamos em Deus. Então, prosseguimos, até que o pensamento ilimitado caminhe extasiado e a concepção irrestrita alce voo para alcançar a glória divina.
Para compreendermos mais, precisamos colocar em prática o que já sabemos. Devemos lembrar que a Verdade é demonstrável quando compreendida, e que o bem só é compreendido quando demonstrado. Se formos "fiéis no pouco", governaremos sobre muito; mas o talento não utilizado se deteriora e se perde. Quando os doentes ou pecadores despertarem para a necessidade daquilo que lhes falta, estarão receptivos à Ciência divina, que gravita em direção à Alma e se afasta dos sentidos materiais, remove o pensamento do corpo e eleva até mesmo a mente mortal à contemplação de algo melhor do que a doença ou o pecado. A verdadeira ideia de Deus proporciona a verdadeira compreensão da Vida e do Amor, rouba a vitória da sepultura, elimina todo o pecado e a ilusão de que existem outras mentes, e destrói a mortalidade.
Os efeitos da Ciência Cristã não são tanto vistos, mas sentidos. É a "voz mansa e delicada" da Verdade se manifestando. Ou nos afastamos dessa voz, ou a ouvimos e nos elevamos a um nível mais alto.
It is easier to desire Truth than to rid one's self of error. Mortals may seek the understanding of Christian Science, but they will not be able to glean from Christian Science the facts of being without striving for them. This strife consists in the endeavor to forsake error of every kind and to possess no other consciousness but good.
Through the wholesome chastisements of Love, we are helped onward in the march towards righteousness, peace, and purity, which are the landmarks of Science. Beholding the infinite tasks of truth, we pause, — wait on God. Then we push onward, until boundless thought walks enraptured, and conception unconfined is winged to reach the divine glory.
In order to apprehend more, we must put into practice what we already know. We must recollect that Truth is demonstrable when understood, and that good is not understood until demonstrated. If "faithful over a few things," we shall be made rulers over many; but the one unused talent decays and is lost. When the sick or the sinning awake to realize their need of what they have not, they will be receptive of divine Science, which gravitates towards Soul and away from material sense, removes thought from the body, and elevates even mortal mind to the contemplation of something better than disease or sin. The true idea of God gives the true understanding of Life and Love, robs the grave of victory, takes away all sin and the delusion that there are other minds, and destroys mortality.
The effects of Christian Science are not so much seen as felt. It is the "still, small voice" of Truth uttering itself. We are either turning away from this utterance, or we are listening to it and going up higher.
Na Ciência Cristã, a negação da Verdade é fatal, enquanto o reconhecimento justo da Verdade e do que ela fez por nós é uma ajuda eficaz. Se o orgulho, a superstição ou qualquer outro erro impedir o reconhecimento honesto dos benefícios recebidos, isso será um obstáculo à recuperação do enfermo e ao sucesso do estudante.
In Christian Science, a denial of Truth is fatal, while a just acknowledgment of Truth and of what it has done for us is an effectual help. If pride, superstition, or any error prevents the honest recognition of benefits received, this will be a hindrance to the recovery of the sick and the success of the student.
Se o estudante se afastar para praticar os ensinamentos da Verdade apenas parcialmente, dividindo seus interesses entre Deus e o dinheiro e substituindo a Verdade por suas próprias visões, inevitavelmente colherá o erro que semear. Quem quiser demonstrar a cura da Ciência Cristã deve seguir rigorosamente suas regras, atentar para cada afirmação e progredir a partir dos rudimentos estabelecidos. Não há nada de difícil nem árduo nessa tarefa, quando o caminho é indicado; mas somente a abnegação, a sinceridade, o cristianismo e a persistência conquistam o prêmio, como geralmente acontece em todas as áreas da vida.
If the student goes away to practise Truth's teachings only in part, dividing his interests between God and mammon and substituting his own views for Truth, he will inevitably reap the error he sows. Whoever would demonstrate the healing of Christian Science must abide strictly by its rules, heed every statement, and advance from the rudiments laid down. There is nothing difficult nor toilsome in this task, when the way is pointed out; but self-denial, sincerity, Christianity, and persistence alone win the prize, as they usually do in every department of life.
A abnegação, pela qual renunciamos a tudo pela Verdade, ou por Cristo, em nossa luta contra o erro, é uma regra da Ciência Cristã. Essa regra interpreta claramente Deus como Princípio divino — como Vida, representada pelo Pai; como Verdade, representada pelo Filho; como Amor, representado pela Mãe. Todo mortal, em algum momento, aqui ou na vida futura, deve lutar contra e vencer a crença mortal em um poder oposto a Deus.
A passagem bíblica "Tu foste fiel no pouco, sobre o muito te colocarei" se cumpre literalmente quando temos consciência da supremacia da Verdade, pela qual se percebe a insignificância do erro;
Self-abnegation, by which we lay down all for Truth, or Christ, in our warfare against error, is a rule in Christian Science. This rule clearly interprets God as divine Principle, — as Life, represented by the Father; as Truth, represented by the Son; as Love, represented by the Mother. Every mortal at some period, here or hereafter, must grapple with and overcome the mortal belief in a power opposed to God.
The Scripture, "Thou hast been faithful over a few things, I will make thee ruler over many," is literally fulfilled, when we are conscious of the supremacy of Truth, by which the nothingness of error is seen;
Se a Verdade estiver triunfando sobre o erro em sua caminhada e conversa diárias, você finalmente poderá dizer: "Combati o bom combate... Guardei a fé", porque você se tornou uma pessoa melhor. Isso significa cumprir nossa parte na reconciliação com a Verdade e o Amor.
Se o discípulo está progredindo espiritualmente, ele está se esforçando para entrar. Ele se afasta constantemente dos sentidos materiais e volta seu olhar para as coisas imperecíveis do Espírito. Se for sincero, ele será sério desde o início e progredirá um pouco a cada dia na direção certa, até que finalmente termine sua jornada com alegria.
If Truth is overcoming error in your daily walk and conversation, you can finally say, "I have fought a good fight ... I have kept the faith," because you are a better man. This is having our part in the at-one-ment with Truth and Love.
If the disciple is advancing spiritually, he is striving to enter in. He constantly turns away from material sense, and looks towards the imperishable things of Spirit. If honest, he will be in earnest from the start, and gain a little each day in the right direction, till at last he finishes his course with joy.

Nem a animosidade nem o mero apego pessoal devem impelir os motivos ou atos dos membros da Igreja Mãe. Na Ciência, somente o Amor divino governa o homem; e um Cientista Cristão reflete as doces comodidades do Amor, repreendendo o pecado, na verdadeira fraternidade, caridade e perdão. Os membros desta Igreja devem vigiar e orar diariamente para serem libertos de todo mal, de profetizar, julgar, condenar, aconselhar, influenciar ou serem influenciados erroneamente. — Manual da Igreja, Artigo VIII, Seção 1
Será dever de cada membro desta Igreja defender-se diariamente contra a sugestão mental agressiva, e não ser levado a esquecer ou negligenciar seu dever para com Deus, seu líder e a humanidade. Por suas obras, ele será julgado — e justificado ou condenado. — Manual da Igreja, Artigo VIII, Seção 6.
