Dificuldade na fala

A dificuldade na fala é uma excentricidade completamente sem sentido. Geralmente, basta mais confiança por parte do indivíduo para garantir um fluxo livre das palavras. A mente está por trás e direciona a função. “Ele proferiu a Sua voz, e a terra se derreteu” é a imagem bíblica do poder e da segurança da expressão vocal.

A gagueira é um hábito nervoso causado, às vezes, pela imitação, e em outros casos, pela hereditariedade. Mas, seja qual for a sua suposta origem, ela não é permanente. Parte do domínio do homem consiste na plena e irrestrita liberdade de expressão.

Não há nada de hereditário, uma vez que esse espectro seja encarado e analisado com inteligência. Seu filho veio diretamente do Todo-Poderoso, trazendo consigo apenas os propósitos e as qualidades do Todo-Poderoso. Ele não trouxe nada de estranho à perfeição. Ele veio totalmente equipado com todos os atributos de um homem completo. Não, ele não herdou nada de parentes humanos por meio daquela curiosa lei, que não é uma lei, com nome de hereditariedade. Ele não herdou nada por convívio, ambiente ou imitação.

Ele é a sua própria perfeição. Eu quase diria que ele é a perfeição do Todo-Poderoso, pois, de certa forma, ele o é, porque o Todo-Poderoso não se contentou em enviá-lo à existência; o Todo-Poderoso veio junto com ele e permaneceu em ação.

O Todo-Poderoso está presente agora e não tolera nervosismo ou hesitação por um instante sequer. Ele impõe a lei do Deus perfeito e do menino perfeito. Paz e domínio reinam supremos.

Agora, dedique-se com seriedade e constância a este trabalho. Tenha certeza dos resultados, mas não fique esperando por eles. Eu ajudarei a corrigir esse hábito. Nós venceremos.

Olhar desalinhado

Não se assuste com o olhar desalinhado do seu filho. Ele pode ser corrigido, e será à medida que você obtiver uma avaliação mais precisa da situação.

Muitas crianças apresentam variações inexplicáveis em relação à norma. Mas mães experientes sabem lidar com isso. Você será uma delas e ficará imensamente satisfeita com a conquista.

Se você simplesmente insistir, dia após dia, na lei de Deus perfeito e da criança perfeita, a consciência construirá um corpo normal. Portanto, pense menos na imperfeição. Ele certamente desaparecerá. Não pode persistir a menos que você se detenha demais nisso, o que é precisamente o que você não fará. Você o afastará dos pensamentos em prol da ideia correta (a ideia da retidão e verdade inabaláveis) e, assim, a eliminará.

Em vez de seus pensamentos assustados ou confusos, substitua-os pela confiança que surge ao admitir que a visão e a percepção dele são tão verdadeiras quanto a própria Verdade. Não há desvios da perfeição. O Princípio os mantém retos e não permitirá que se desviem para um lado ou para o outro. Não o observe com muita frequência. Eduque-o mais como os bárbaros criavam seus filhos. O Todo-Poderoso, em seu meio, o controla e alinhará perfeitamente cada aspecto de sua estrutura.

O grande Arquiteto construiu para você um aparelho de visão que é totalmente adequado às suas necessidades. Ele usou uma habilidade tão transcendente e uma substância tão preciosa que garantiu Sua obra para sempre.

Visto sob outra perspectiva, a visão é uma faculdade da Mente onisciente. Daí sua perfeição contínua. Você possui essa Mente, não há outra. Esta é a verdade que o libertará se você se esforçar ao máximo para alcançá-la. E você a alcançará conversando e explicando a proposição para si mesmo dia após dia.

Visão

Muito gentil da sua parte enviar o recorte de jornal sobre a história da família. Eu o valorizo imensamente.

Você sabe que quando o grande Arquiteto o criou, Ele garantiu que você funcionaria por muito tempo. Ele estava perfeitamente seguro ao dar essa garantia, porque usou as melhores substâncias e as uniu adequadamente durante a construção.

Isso significa que não há pontos fracos em você, sejam eles relacionados à visão ou qualquer outra coisa. Cada parte e função é tão perfeita quanto as outras.

Assim, por meio da Mente divina, você vê, ouve e compreende com tranquila certeza. Nada pode bloquear ou interferir na sua visão. Relaxe um pouco e verá que seus olhos estão à altura da situação.

Você encontrará muito o que fazer em sua profissão. Você sabe que o seu mundo musical é em grande parte o que você faz dele, não é? E você está preparado para torná-lo um mundo muito convidativo e proveitoso. O Todo-Poderoso provê tudo isso e lhe dará a determinação e a força para prosseguir de uma maneira melhor do que antes.

Após nossa conversa por telefone, permita-me lembrá-lo de que o Criador, ao criá-lo, usou as melhores substâncias e as uniu de forma adequada e verdadeiramente profissional. Então, ao enviá-lo para participar da aventura chamada mundo, Ele garantiu que Sua criação funcionaria e duraria indefinidamente.

Seus órgãos de visão e audição fazem parte dessa estrutura espiritual. Eles não conhecem a penumbra ou a perda da sensibilidade. A essência é a perfeição. Ela funciona com precisão absoluta e continuará a funcionar assim.

Catarata

As cataratas são sugestões ardilosas que visam bloquear a luz que ilumina todos os que vêm ao mundo. Mas a luz não pode ser excluída, pois é sinônimo de Vida, e a Vida se recusa terminantemente a ser banida. Sua interdição é absurda. Ela triunfa sobre todos os inimigos.

A visão é infalível e inalterável porque é uma faculdade da Mente auto existente. Essa Mente é a mente de cada indivíduo e lhe assegura uma visão eterna e inabalável. Você vive sob essa garantia divina.

A promessa é que o véu será levantado, o véu que obstrui nossa visão da realidade, e esse véu está sendo levantado a cada dia pelo progresso da iluminação. Mais luz, não menos, é o eterno mandamento da Mente.

A presunção de cataratas é uma negação daquilo que sabemos ser bom e verdadeiro. Não existe mentalidade capaz de produzi-las, fomentá-las ou projetá-las em sua experiência. Pelo contrário, todo ímpeto da Mente visa à extinção de tal arrogância.

No Eccentricities of Voice or Vision, excerpt

Leaves of Healing

Impediment in speech is a perfectly senseless eccentricity. More confidence on the part of the individual is usually all that is necessary to insure a free flow of words. Mind is back of and directing the function. “He uttered His voice, the earth melted” is the Scriptural picture of the power and assurance of vocal expression.

Stuttering is a nervous habit brought on by imitation sometimes, it is said, and in other cases it comes through the channel of heredity. But whatever its supposed origin it has no permanency. Part of man’s dominion consists in full and untrammeled freedom of utterance.

There is nothing in heredity, once that specter is intelligently faced and analyzed. Your boy came direct from the Almighty, carrying with him only the purposes and the properties of the Almighty. He brought nothing foreign to perfection. He came fully equipped with every attribute of a full-fledged man. No, he gathered nothing from human relatives by that curious law, which is not a law, called heredity. He has gathered nothing from association or environment or through imitation.

He is his own perfect self, I had almost said he is the Almighty’s perfect self, for such he is in a way, because the Almighty was not content in sending him forth into existence, the Almighty came right along with him and stayed on the job.

The Almighty is right there now and tolerates no nervousness or hesitation for an instant. He enforces the law of perfect God and perfect boy. Peace and dominion reign supreme.

Now get very serious and constant in your work along these lines. Be assured of results but do not watchfully look for them. I will lend a hand to correct this habit. We will win.

Do not be alarmed about the eyes of your youngster being out of line. They can be brought into true focus, and they will be as you gain a more accurate appraisal of the situation.

Many children have unaccountable variations from the norm. But experienced mothers rise to the occasion. You will be one of them and mightily pleased with the achievement.

If you do no more than insist, day by day, on the law of perfect God and perfect child, consciousness will construct a normal body. So think less of the blemish. It is bound to go. It cannot continue unless you dwell too much on it, which is precisely what you will not do. You will put it out of thought for the right idea (the idea of undeviating straightness and trueness) and thereby put it out of commission.

In place of your frightened or confused thinking substitute the confidence which comes as you admit that his vision and perception are as true as Truth itself. No departure there from perfection. Principle holds them straight in line and will not permit them to deviate this way or that. Do not observe him too often. Bring him up more as the barbarians brought up their young. The Almighty in his midst has him under control and will bring every item of his structure into perfect alinement.

The great Architect built for you a seeing apparatus which is entirely adequate to your needs. He used such transcendent skill and such priceless substance that He guaranteed His work for all time.

Looked at in another aspect, sight is a faculty of omniscient Mind. Hence its continuous perfection. You have that Mind, there is no other. This is the truth which will liberate you if you will do your best to lay hold of it. And you will lay hold of it by talking and explaining the proposition to yourself day by day.

Awfully fine of you to send the newspaper clipping in re family history. I prize it tremendously.

You know when the great Architect turned you out He guaranteed that you would run for a good long while. He was perfectly safe in issuing this guarantee, because He used the best substances and fitly joined them together in the course of the construction work.

This means that there are no weak spots in you, call them vision or whatnot. Each part and function is as perfect as the others.

So it is that out of divine Mind you see and hear and understand in quiet assurance. Nothing can shut off or interfere with your view. Take it a bit easy and you will find your eyes quite equal to the situation.

You will find plenty to do in your profession. You know that your world of music is largely what you make it, is it not, and you are equipped to make it a very inviting and profitable world. The Almighty provides for all this and He will impart the resolution and the strength to carry on in a better way than you have done before.

Following our talk over the telephone, may I remind you that the Creator, when He constructed you, used the best of substances and fitly joined them together in true workmanlike fashion. Then as He turned you out to participate in the adventure called the world, He guaranteed that His creation would work and last indefinitely.

Your seeing and hearing equipment is part of that spiritual structure. It does not know anything about dimness or dullness. It works with perfect precision and will continue so to work.

Cataracts are sly suggestions that would shut out that light which lights everyone who comes into the world. But light cannot be excluded for light is synonymous with Life, and Life absolutely refuses to be banned. Its interdiction is preposterous. It triumphs over every enemy.

Sight is unfailing and unalterable because sight is a faculty of self-existent Mind. This Mind is the mind of every individual and assures him unfading and perpetual vision. You live under this divine guarantee.

The promise is that the veil shall be lifted, the veil that would obstruct our view of reality, and that veil is being lifted every day by the progress of enlightenment. More light, not less, is the eternal mandate of Mind.

Presumptuous cataracts are a denial of what we know of the good and true. There is no mentality to produce or foster or project them into your experience. On the contrary every impetus of Mind is leveled at the extinction of such arrogance.
